Michael T. Carter, Research Fellow
Dr. Carter manages multidisciplinary research and development teams involved in (1) a diversity of chemical and electrochemical sensors and (2) chemical processing and sensing applications of ionic liquids. These efforts are directed at the environmental monitoring, industrial hygiene, homeland security and industrial process control markets.
Prior to joining Eltron Research in 1996, Dr. Carter spent postdoctoral appointments at The State University of New York at Buffalo, The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and Oak Ridge National Laboratory. Dr. Carter received his Ph.D. in chemistry in 1989 from The University of Texas at Austin. He holds an M.B.A. from the University of Colorado at Denver (2003) and a B.S. in chemistry from The University of Connecticut (1983). Dr. Carter is a member of The American Chemical Society, The Electrochemical Society, The Rockies Venture Club and the National Defense Industry Association. He was elected to Beta Gamma Sigma (CU Denver Chapter, Business Administration) in 2003 and Phi Lambda Upsilon (Alpha Phi Chapter, UCONN, Chemistry) in 1982.
